A date with a 5 year old and a 3 year old

I took my kiddies out on a date. Just me and the boys. It was really entertaining. We went to a restaurant called Rumbi, its really good Hawaiian style food. The whole reason I went out was because I was thinking about what to have for dinner and the thought hit me. I could go to Rumbi's order a full bowl eat some for dinner and then eat the rest for breakfast. Lets just say I was craving the food.

MY CONVERSATION WITH A 5 YEAR OLD
Me: So Spay, where are you from?
Spay: Seriously mom?
Me: Yeah where are you from?
Spay: Home, duh!
Me: What do you do?
Spay: At night I go to sleep, but on school days I go to school and play
Me: What are you studying?
Spay: I am studying to listen to my teacher.
Me: Oh sounds fun

MY CONVERSATION WITH A 3 YEAR OLD
Me: So Math where are you from?
Math: Why did the duck cross the road?
Me: What do you do?
Math: You are supposed to say "I don't know, why?" mom
Me: I don't know, why?
Math: Because he wanted to get squished
Me: Math that was funny
Math: Why did the duck cross the road...?

SPOILER ALERT: I know the ending...

They split the prize money between the top four finalist of each heat and they all lived happily ever after...

Can I really write about this since it happened a over a month ago.  I guess it doesn't matter, its my blog. I went to the demolition derby with several of my family members. (Super awesome fun) We had a great time watching, then someone flipped over and we had almost all the energy sucked out of us. Then it came back, just in time for the power outage to end it all. Of course for those of you who know, my family is very stubborn when it comes to rain. We will stick it out no matter what, but why? I mean we never actually play when its all over. (Remember Deer Creek my family?)

I didn't actually take any pictures with the regular camera, I was busy video recording things. I did sit next to a professional photographer, Heather from Cook Photography. Check her blog soon to see if the pictures are up. (I will update this later so it goes directly to her website page with the pictures on it) I am excited to see them soon.
We had a fun flip over but the guy didn't have a roll bar so it crushed his cab. It took forever to get him out. I do feel a bit guilty for cheering when he went over because he could have been hurt, but when I found out he was okay, that went away. Nonetheless my younger sis took a picture of us being guilt ridden...

So how did I find out how it all ended? I have recently communicated with some guy on Youtube who was a driver in the first heat. He said they split the money between the 3 heat winners since the power went out. I just felt like I couldn't really blog about this until I knew how it all ended.

  • I was there too, it took forever to get him out. Sucked the excitement out of the air. Still, glad he was okay.
  • @zlachica Yeah I totally agree I guess it was better to end the show by power outage than by death or serious injury. I drove the pacman #23 suburban in the 1st heat.
  • @djclue1987 Was there a winner? I always wondered how they determined the "final" winner that night. Don't you get money for winning? I was cheering for #31 (because he stalled in front of my seat, and he responded to my cheering) but I remember your car because it had a video game reference on it.
  • @zlachica Yeah my truck was in the same round (heat) as #31. I have a video of it, in my other videos. The winners do get money. They take the top 3 winners from each round and give them money. The top 4 from each round advanced to the championship round, but because of the power outage they just split the winnings 12 ways to all the drivers who would have been in the championship round.

Jumping the Gun and Not as Fat

So we had a cold spell, not that I would know since getting back from Alaska I have been in bed with the flu and stomach flu. Seriously I thought I was going to die. Anyway, I saw through the crack in my door that it has started turning cold. Not only did I curse Alaska for giving me such a bad illness, I cursed it because I thought I had missed the last of the warm weeks in Logan. So I have been sick sick sick. Funny thing, you can still shop online when you are sick, so I did. I bought some snow clothes for the kiddies and me, seeing that I was about to experience winter without any warning. Well I bought snow pants. If you recall I plan on going skiing A LOT this winter, and my old ski pants were pre baby, pre chubby, pre married life. They didn't fit me again after having baby number 1 and I don't think I would fit in them again seeing that I haven't properly exercised in a very long time. So I ordered new pants. Okay okay long story, I ordered the XL because it seemed reasonable. My old pants are size large, they don't fit, my new pants should be XL. Well what I forgot was when I bought my old pants I was 18, they came from the junior section. So my new pants are HUGE! Which is a huge boost to my self esteem, (not as fat as I thought I was la la la) but now I have to return them to an online store. For those of you who know me, and for those of you who don't, I hate returning things to stores and I absolutely loathe returning things through the mail. They are still sitting on the box doing nothing, as I am doing nothing with them... anyone want to buy them from me?
Well now things are absolutely beautiful outside and I am able to get out of bed and enjoy it. Maybe I was too pessimistic in buying those pants early, but it's better to be prepared. Am I right or am I right? Right?
