The rain may not stop again...

So thats my dooms day scenario. Its been raining a lot. I hear in Japan that June is their rainy season. I have decided that May is ours. Since living in Logan as a "local" May truly has been a rainy month. So when the clouds break and the rain stops you have to be ready to run outside... thanks to my friend Lem we were.
She called me up to meet at a park and have a picnic. The park, Ryan's Place Park. Its weird to find, and its kind of one of those places that you can be told the address but thats not going to make a difference. Most people I have talked to stumbled upon it. I have been there before but still got turned around and somewhat lost. Lunch was really late that day. It was a great day and the rain stayed away for a while so we could truly enjoy the afternoon. http://www.ryansplacepark.com/

It’s a pretty awesome park with such a tragic reason. A local family went on a trip to Lake Powell with their family. Some how, their youngest child, Ryan, wandered off their house boat and drowned. They wanted to put up a slide and a swing for his memorial and it just kept getting bigger. The park turned out to be a extravagant community project. It was funded and built by donations and volunteers of the community. It really is a beautiful park. With memorial parks its hard sometimes to let go of the tragedy, especially since it happened so recent. It gave me mixed feelings and interesting emotions. Its hard to explain.

Still this is a great park and its free with lots of places to climb and run. Check out my vlog, the kids were all over the park but we still didn't film everything available. The video turned out to be somewhat of a home movie that only families like, enjoy!

When it's raining - make lemonade?...Oh no, that is "when life hands you lemons - make lemonade" Looks like the boys are doing a great job and MD is ready to catch the special lemon drops. Spay is rolling his tongue too. Way cute!
